Marianne Lewis has a fine art background and became interested in narrative storytelling after working with Israeli storyteller Ariella Eshed. Scots born, she’s inspired by traditional gypsy stories, has been published in the Evening Standard and performs regularly in London and the Southeast. The theme for this performance will be ‘transformation.’ Beata Duncan (1921 – 2015) left Berlin for England in 1934. Her family will be reading from her posthumously published book, Berlin Blues, a fascinating account in poetry of her childhood in Berlin. And we welcome back Liz Simcock, a wonderful singer songwriter who helped to found Fourth Friday and has performed for us many times.
